King's Coronation Afternoon Tea

The coronation of a king is a grand and majestic ceremony that marks the beginning of a new era of leadership. It is a symbolic ritual highlighting the monarch's accession to the throne and the commencement of their reign. For centuries, the coronation of a king has been a significant event steeped in tradition and pageantry.

We've assembled an afternoon tea fit for royalty as part of this historical event, including a range of savoury and sweet delights and a glass of fizz. It's the perfect way to mark the occasion with family and friends, and we'd love to see you all here at The Old Vicarage.

The coronation of a king is a long-standing tradition that dates back to ancient times. It was a symbolic ceremony representing the power transfer between rulers. The coronation was typically held in a public place, such as a cathedral or a town square, and attended by the nobility, clergy, and commoners.

The new king would be anointed with holy oil during the ceremony, symbolising his divine right to rule. He would also receive a crown, sceptre, and orb, symbolising his power and authority.

The cost is £20 pp - we hope to see you all on May 6th (12 pm - 4 pm) to celebrate a new era. To book your afternoon tea, get in touch with the team below!
