At the Orangery Restaurant we are proud of our reputation as the finest hotel dining room in Shropshire. It is no idle boast: our countless awards and accolades pay testament to the fine dining experience you can enjoy. The 2 AA Rosettes restaurant is light and spacious with conservatory views over the hotel's idyllic gardens.
We pride ourselves on using Shropshire produce and local ingredients wherever possible with regularly updated menus to reflect the changing seasons. Guests can select from lunch, afternoon tea and dinner menus, including a good choice of vegetarian dishes. Our traditional Sunday Lunch menu continues to be very popular featuring local meat such as roast Shropshire Beef.
It's not just our food that's exceptional, so is our Chef, talented kitchen staff and friendly team of waiters and watresses who are more than happy to attend your every dining need.
The Orangery is licensed for weddings and can accommodate 80 guests.

“We have visited the restaurant at the Old Vicarage before and were impressed by the experience. So we invited close friends to celebrate the new year with us this evening. Our verdict.......the best food we have had for many a year and the best service too? And cost....a very reasonable £174 including wine and pre dinner drinks.
Everything tasted brilliant, with the result that there were 4 sets of empty plates at the end of each of the three courses and, over coffee (and a decaf tea), a content group of patrons. We immediately booked for next week!
This place is a hidden gem and part of me wants it to stay that way...I travel across the country and stay in hotels 2/3 nights per week and eat at many....none compare to this evenings fare...what a meal.
